After yesterday’s long day, I decided to do a short stage today, and I also realized that now that I’m going to be entering the Vanoise National Park, I’m going to have to really plan my stages, because bivouacs are only allowed around refuges on reservation, and there aren’t many places, so as I tried to book, I realized that even for bivouacs, some were already full several days in advance.

I start the climb through the forest, fortunately, because I left at around 9:30 and it’s already very hot. I then pass through the beautiful village of Pesey-Nancroix.

I take the opportunity to run a few errands, then head for the river, which I follow for several kilometers. I continue to the Rosuel refuge.

I arrive around lunchtime, and sit down in the refuge restaurant to enjoy a forest croziflette.
