Plan Mya, 1,860m
After a delicious breakfast at the refuge with homemade jams, I set off at around 7:30am. The path climbs a little and as we pass the Petite Berge we get a great view of Lake Roseland.
After a few small paths through pastures, I start the climb to the Col du Bresson. The green landscape becomes increasingly rocky as I climb. I spot a few marmots before I reach the Col.
Col du Bresson, 2,469m
I go downhill on small paths and stop by the stream to take a break. It’s absolutely quiet, there’s no one around.
Refuge de Balme, 1.996m
We arrive at the refuge by a path strewn with flowers, it’s so beautiful!
After the refuge, the descent continues on a track for a few kilometers, then passes through the forest and crosses Valezan, then Bellentre, until it reaches Landry. More than 2,000m of vertical drop, which really makes itself felt in the final kilometers.
Landry, 777m

Overnight at the Canopée campsite (remember to book in advance as the 2 campsites were full, but they finally accepted me 2 hours later).
